Elias Boudinot Elementary School runs parallel to the beautiful Delaware River. The school currently
houses approximately 100 students in grades kindergarten through two. There are two classes of kindergarten,
two first grades, and two second grades. We pride ourselves on the small classroom setting.
In addition to the regular classes, students participate in art, music, library, physical education and
computer technology on a weekly basis. This provides the opportunity for integrated teaching units as well
as alignment with the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards.
We are in year four of Harcourt Story town Reading Program. Children are grouped heterogeneously
and provided with differentiated instruction. Every Day Mathematics is utilized in our continuing efforts to
develop proficient skills. The program emphasizes problem solving, critical thinking skills and cooperative
learning.
The Family Support Team is an integral part of our school based intervention and enables school and family
to work collaboratively to solve academic and social/emotional concerns.
Our school goal is to provide students with the tools to be proficient learners. We strive to develop a
community of learners using a researched-based curriculum, a climate for learning and a commitment to build
character.
Our school goal is to build model citizens one child at a time. Character Education is important to us and
we work very hard to meet our goals. My mantra is "Character is what you do when no one is looking".
